How to Keep Marriage in the Army on Fire

Marriage is a union of two people who are in love and ready to be together until their hair turns grey. But what if your spouse is in the army? Army people always serve their country first before anything else, and that practically includes their spouses who are to be left at home for months and tend with the kids as a father/mother. A lot of those who married people in the army tend to have mixed emotions when it comes to their family. Birthday celebrations with the absence of the other parent or graduation of kids with only one spouse in attendance are just some of the events that you would have to get ready in the years to come with your spouse in the army. However, marriage is all about working out and here are some things that you can do as a spouse of an army to make it work.

First of all, always think and feel that your spouse, wherever he or she maybe, always loves you and the kids and his or her prayers are always for you and the children. Just thoughts alone can already give you that feeling to move, go on, and do each and everything that you can do take care of yourself and the whole family. It is very lonely in the fields and his or her homecoming will always be something of a gift, so make sure that when your spouse comes home, the house is clean and fresh, the kids are healthy and well and you are perfectly safe and kicking. After all, you are your spouse’s only inspiration.

Secondly, accept the fact that you are marrying an army, somebody who has already made a commitment to the country before you arrived in his or her life. With this acceptance, you can be able to adjust your expectations in the family. When that fact settles in your system, you will have positivity in everything you do and in hoping for the day that your spouse will finally come home.

Thirdly, be exciting. The excitement, adventure, love, bliss and pure serenity that your spouse needs the most every after operation should be at home when he or she comes home. Don’t settle with the usual routine when your spouse is at home. Make his or her stay memorable by creating a sexy date for the both of you, making his or her favorite meals with a twist, or going to a holiday with just the two of you. These moments that feel like both of you are always on honeymoon will always make him or her come home excitedly. In fact, these moments keep every marriage on fire.
